Mr. President:
I just saw (on CNN!) that Karl put out word of your 1 p.m. presser tomorrow and also that you were "disappointed" by projections the Dems will take the house. As your chief communications advisor I would urge you not to make any more public statements at this time. It's late and easy to give into pessimism, especially if you're watching the MSM. But don't overlook our gains: it looks like in Missouri that Limbaugh prevailed in his race against Michael J. Fox (attack ads work!).
We may be in for a recount in Virginia, and you know how long those can go on. Why don't you go to bed, sir? We'll have a new draft statement for you in the morning.
(And maybe a new congress...)
For now let's stick to, "No Comment."
Tony
