In an unprecedented moment in history, Governor Sarah Palin was sworn in today by the far right wing of the Republican Party as the first female President of The Real America.
In a ceremony filmed by 24 creator Joel Surnow, Palin raised her right hand and placed her left on a Bible once owned by Mary, Queen of Scots. She then repeated the following oath as read to her by Dr. James Dobson:
"I, Sarah Palin, do solemnly betcha that I will faithfully execute the office of President of The Real America, and will to the best of my ability preserve, protect and defend this great nation from the illegitimate, media-anointed monarch of the lower 48."
"This is a day of hope for us and all those like us," Vice President Karl Rove said after he himself was sworn in. "It assures us that while the rest of the country may have been led off course by the promise of truth and transparency, the reality that we have created for ourselves here shall live on."
"On this day, lots of people in the lower 48 are feeling a great sense of national pride in their nation there", Palin said in her inaugural address outside her home in Wasilla, Alaska. "But they'll never be as proud of their country as we are of ours."
The crowd of 4000 supporters shouted, "kill him!"
A portrait of Palin will hang in the Real America presidential gallery alongside previous presidents such as Strom Thurmond, Oliver North and George W. Bush.

This was a SNL skit right?
Palin insults the American public by coming to the table with little more an American idol contestant. What does she have to offer? Okay, so she is not the sharpest pencil in the box - Maybe a picture of ethics and values? . . . hardly.
she is just running on ego and greed at this point. Like a bad date that won't pack it up and go away.
the palin wing will never accept a black man as president no matter what they say .
i love how despite all the encouragement obama gave yesterday to come together and work together in bipartisan unity, any and every opportunity to slam republicans is taken. it's not funny, it's pathetic. and it keeps a wedge firmly between the two parties. there can never be unity. there can never be a bipartisan relationship towards a whole, healing america while this idiocy continues.
it's not humor. it's political racism. it's tired and pathetic. grow up and move on.

Correct! We should all follow the President's challenge to embrace our common purpose. However, you don't have to be a Texan to know that his words fall on the deaf ears of so many who still view the nation and the world through an "us vs them" prism. As long as they're still out there talking, they'll be subject to satire. For humor trumps outrage. That's why Bugs defeats Daffy. Cheers!
Nice one! I thought it was a real story until the third paragraph. I wouldn't have been a bit surprised if they'd actually tried something like that.
President of what????
Talk about delusions of grandeur.. .
"The new president will reside in Danville, VA, until the new, expanded Yellow Snow Igloo is completed just about from where you can see Russian from Alaska, or there abouts."
