After earning his Bachelors Degree in 1993 and an MBA in 1995, both from Elon University, Darron Stover entered the investment profession in 1995, joining a small boutique firm, Banyan, Rock & Talent.

In 2005, in an effort to shift towards a more fulfilling business niche, Darron changed his business model and investment philosophy to provide investment advice and portfolio management to clients interested in Socially Responsible Investments. With more and more investors interested in having their portfolios in line with their values, the strategy has also allowed Darron to continue performing in his field without compromising his own social values. As one of the few investment professionals in the Triangle with a socially responsible focus, Darron helps his clients prudently deploy their assets in securities that are respectful of human rights, display sound environmental stewardship and advance social justice.

In order to further develop and better brand the social responsibility niche, in September of 2007, Darron moved out on his own, forming Invest for Change, LLC, with offices located in the heart of Downtown Raleigh. That same year, in recognition of his focus and vision, Darron was named by Business Leader magazine as one of the Triangle’s “Movers and Shakers.”

In his spare time, Darron is committed to giving back to the community in which he lives. A 2001 recipient of the Fred Fletcher Athletics Volunteer of the Year award, Darron spent 10 years coaching youth football in Raleigh and in 2000, co-founded Summer Athletic Camps for Kids (SACK), a non-profit that promotes responsible living through youth athletics. Darron serves actively through his church, Fairmont United Methodist, including as chair of the Social Justice Committee and on frequent Work Teams to areas of great need. Darron has been active in a number of ways with his alma mater, Elon University, being a featured speaker on campus several times and serving a 3 year term on the National Alumni Executive (Advisory) Board. Since December of 2005, Darron has also been a frequent volunteer, fundraiser and advocate for an international hunger relief agency, Stop Hunger Now, helping to organize and operate food packaging events around the Triangle.

Darron has made his home in Raleigh, NC since 1995 and enjoys having the majority of his family in the Triangle.
