Anne Rice has just posted a video on YouTube celebrating Hillary's New Hampshire win and suggesting a Clinton/Obama ticket. Ms. Rice says she is "pro-life", "a Democrat" and "for Hillary." Here it is:
This video isn't just the video of a famed female novelist exulting in Sen. Clinton's win. It is also the voice of a woman from a generation that grew up in a world where people sneered at the thought of a female president. It is the voice of a woman like all those women who turned out in New Hampshire to vote for Sen. Clinton.
If last week was all about Obama as the transcendent political leader who could inspire America's youngest generation, then this week is all about Hillary as the experienced politician who might be the most effective change agent of them all.

I love fantasy, never the less, but recognize that the fantasy of two political creatures like Hillary and Obama together in the same administration for all its appeal, is a situation that is like a fantasy baseball team and in reality I doubt it would work with the clashing egos that would no doubt accompany it.
As far as whether a Hillary/Obama ticket is fantasy or not, because they don't like each other -- remember the JFK/LBJ ticket? They weren't exactly the best of friends, but they did add up to an effective ticket.
But I think that Obama is a charm specialist, and can get along when he knows that it will help him advance. He can get along with the Clintons.
Obama doesn't even begin to know what he doesn't know.
Jean-Luc Picard for President
William Riker for VP
Worf for (what else?) Secretary of Defense
Data for HHS Secretary (he's more human than
the majority of the Congressional Republicans!)
Geordi and Lt. Barclay as heads of NASA and JPL
Beverly Crusher as Surgeon General
Deanna Troi as Secretary of State
(ah, one could hope....)
Oh, uh, I guess in a way you are doing just that.
Reality is that neither can stand the other. They do not like each other and therefore, people need to stop dreaming. It will never happen.
Obama abhors Clinton's insider and ethical problems and no self respecting politician is going to take a back seat to Bill.
The only people who would ever be on a ticket with Hillary are the boring and obiendent little lapdogs like Vilsack or Bayh.
Obama is too much of a force and has too much charisma that he would outshine her.
On the opposite side, why would Obama pick Clinton. She would be a hinderence to him and her ethical lapses would tarnish the reformer image.
And again: They do not like each other.
They will never be on the same ticket and will never take a back seat to the other.
I really wish people would stop fantisizing over the ridiculous.
