As if the nomination of defeatist Barack Obama for President weren't enough, another lily-livered group has joined the coalition of the surrender monkeys who want to abandon our winning war in Iraq: Iraq.
"Iraq officials question need for U.S. troop presence" reads the headline in the L.A. Times. Well pardon me for asking but who are "Iraq officials" to tell us what to do? Since when does the United States of America take its marching orders from foreigners?
These officials claim that fighting for freedom is bad for their country. Yeah, but when were things not bad? I remember the first time I paid attention to Iraq, right after the invasion -- the place was in shambles.
I hate to say this about anyone but these whining "officials" are not acting like loyal Americans. Buckle up your balls, Iraqis; if the US of A can make the sacrifice to invade your country, the least you can do is support our troops.
Thankfully, we don't have to listen to these accented, mustachioed (I'm assuming) outside agitators. The Iraqis can wail and plead and get killed and be tortured all they want, it doesn't matter.
After all, it's not their decision.

The ingratitude! The ingratitude!
It's obvious that the Iraqis are far too emotionally involved in the fate of their nation to responsibly run it.
We'll just have to keep on saving them from themselves for as long as it takes, dammit!
