Clueless Texter Bumps Into a Bear

This week's Animal Oddity is a cautionary tale about obliviously texting while walking through town.

The man in the video below got the shock of his life when he looked up from his texting only to come face to face with a black bear that wandered into town. While his reaction is pretty funny, he's lucky he looked up when he did, otherwise he would have walked right into the bear.

Black bears normally avoid people and aren't particularly dangerous (unless people feed them and they associate us with a full belly and lose their natural fear). That said, they do occasionally make appearances in urban areas or escape captivity.

Trust me, having personally been bitten by a bear before, you don't want to run into one unannounced. Pay attention people, it's a jungle out there!
