David Perez, of Seattle, WA, is an attorney with Perkins Coie. Before joining Perkins Coie, David served as the Assistant Director of the Fred T. Korematsu Center for Law and Equality at the Seattle University School of Law, where he worked on civil rights appeals and helped write the Washington State Voting Rights Act.

David received his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was the Development Editor of the Yale Journal of International Law, and his B.A. from Gonzaga University. After law school David clerked on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

David writes on international and domestic policy, and legal theory. He is the author of "America's Cuba Policy: The Way Forward," 13 Harv. Latino L. Rev. 187 (2010), and "Deal or No Deal? Remedying Ineffective Assistance of Counsel During Plea Bargaining," 120 Yale L.J. 1532 (2011).
