On Monday, NYT reporter Andy Revkin and I appeared on EcoTalk, an Air America radio show. The subject was Andy's now-notorious piece on the "new middle" in the climate debate and the huge uproar it sparked.
One thing I would take issue with is Andy's insistence that we can't solve global warming with today's technology, and that with current technology you "fairly quickly hit a wall" in what you can do.
My response: that wall is a long way off. And by the time we get to where the wall was, it will have moved. The overriding imperative, as I tried to emphasize on the show, is to start moving.
