Gas prices are high, which is the worst thing that's ever happened in the history of America, dating back to the time of the dinosaurs. It's a violation of the spirit of the Constitution of Independence as written by Jefferson Davis. We must declare preemptive war on gas prices before they destroy our freedoms, which they hate. Think of the children. How will they get to soccer practice?
"Buy the kid a bike," says the Blame America First crowd. Thankfully God-fearing politicians are not listening to that counsel of appeasement.
McCain was on the front lines of Operation Drive As Much As We Want, proposing a gas tax holiday earlier this month. After the typical Democrat waffling, Hillary Clinton signed on to the idea this week, much as she signed on to the Iraq War when political expedience patriotic duty moved her.
Or perhaps she was inspired by the example of the brave trucker warriors who descended on D.C. to drive around burning gas in protest of unconstitutional gas prices. ("The caravan's organizers had expected to arrive in Washington at 9 a.m., but traffic and an accident caused a three-hour delay.")
Unfortunately, the Muslim elitist Barack Obama, who's also widely rumored to be black, would surrender to gas prices. "This isn't an idea designed to get you through the summer, it's an idea designed to get them through an election," he said, probably quoting Michael Moore. Guess we know who high gas prices are voting for this November!
Unfortunately, Obama's Surrender Plan has found support not only among the America-hating ranks of so-called "economists," but among this liberal media as well. Watch their unbalanced presentation:
Thankfully, Clinton isn't letting Obama's capitulation to basic economic theory Gas Terror go unpunished. She's running an ad in upcoming primary states Indiana and North Carolina, taking Obama to task for his undemocratic refusal to give voters the ineffectual symbolism they demand:
Now it seems that Senate Democrats have finally woken to the Gathering Storm of gas prices almost half of what they pay in Europe:
Senate Democrats vowed today that they would have a sweeping energy bill aimed at combating rising fuel costs ready by the end of the week.
Calling the effort a "work in progress," Sen. Charles Schumer of New York said Democratic leadership was considering a measure that would provide a summer-long "gas tax holiday" ...
Will Obama get the message? You're either for driving as much as we want, at a price that's convenient, or you're against it. Which side is he on?

Last year Hillary was talking about eliminating tax subsidies to the oil companies. Now, in order not to offend the oil companies and their record high profits, she is talking about eliminating the tax that pays for road maintenance. How about price controls on gasoline, or maybe some windfall taxes on the oil companies?
I surrendered to gas prices the day after the monkeypuppet stole the election over 7 years ago... ha!
First let me qualify this by saying that I am not a "do as I say or a do as I do" person... there's enough room for every opinion... just don't ask me to not laugh in your face when you cry about $4 gallon gas. I let the air in my car's tires slowly escape into the netherworld before finally donating the car to charity. I haven't driven for going on 8 years.
Learn to walk. Learn to bike. Learn to take MYGOD... public transportation... yes, even if it means sitting next to "one of those" (whoever one of them might be).
The fact is... your whole world will be in the toilet soon. You just can't imagine how bad it's going to get... and you haven't had any time (or inclination) to find alternatives. The economy is being DRIVEN down, down, down.
Don't you get it? History? Repeats? Itself?
You believed a lie. Period. So what are you going to do about it? Vote for Hillary?
alienated in Seattle
First, I didn't believe a lie, I KNEW that it was a lie, and I refused to vote for him, TWICE!
Second, trust me, if riding a bike or walking or even taking public transit to my job was an option, I would be there in a heartbeat! However, in order to (barely) afford to live, I must be twenty-five miles away from my work. In order to live comfortably, I would have been willing to drive FARTHER. As far as public transit, in Chicago, I could get from my house to my job, if I was willing to pay MORE than I am for gas, and it will be less until gas reaches more than $6.00/gal!
So considering that the federal gas tax is what, 18.4 cents per gallon of gasoline? That would save me about $1.84 per fill up. Furthermore, we have to be honest with ourselves here. The oil companies would CLAIM that they've removed the taxes from their prices, and they would for some of it, but I could guarantee that we'd be looking at around 10 cents per gallon right away, and then that would disappear the next week in the latest round of price gouging!
It is amusing, but should be password protected. Her supporters will be quoting you as literal...
Schumer is SUCH a TOOL. What is it about NY DemocRATS that makes them want to lick the boots of Republicans? Must be the clean air and healthy climate.
That's probably too snarky for prime time, but interesting thoughts. One risks losing their message when they confuse cleverness for passable intellectual dialogue. Imagine language as currency and snark as the dollar: still as common as ever but down in value by the day. Alas, I am guilty too.
Ballard, eh? Go check out the best Mexican food in Seattle at Senor Moose!
I think he was trying to be sarcastic.
I can't believe you called Obama a muslim elitist. Obama is not elitist and is not muslim, except in the eyes of a punk like you. By the way, all people who have a rudimentary understanding of economics have taken the same position Senator Obama has taken. Only people with no understanding of the impact a gas tax holiday would have on prices and economically support your position, that of Hillary and MCcain who admitted that he has no idea what economics is about.
Sarcasm eludes you, yes?
