This past week, at the Seattle Interactive Conference, I sat down with Tim Keck, the co-founder of The Onion. Tim has not spoken much about The Onion since he started it 25 years ago and left year later. But in keeping with the theme of the conference, Tim and I spoke about transparency from both a creative and editorial standpoint -- and what has made The Onion so successful all these years.

He also talks about what he has been up to more recently, as he the co-founder of The Stranger and the Portland Mercury papers, and how he has leveraged local media in all his latest initiatives.
