David Sutphen lives in Washington, D.C. and is a senior executive at Viacom. He began his career in Washington as lawyer at Covington and Burling before quickly moving into politics, serving as former Congressman Harold Ford's first chief of staff and Senator Edward Kennedy's General Counsel on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Before joining Viacom, David worked at the Recording Industry Association of American. He is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and an honors graduate of Amherst College and the University of Michigan Law School, where he was a member of the Editorial Board of the Law Review.
