Like Christine O'Donnell, I was born and raised in the great state of New Jersey. As I understand it, Ms. O'Donnell eventually moved on in her personal journey, first towards Satan and eventually to God and politics. I, meanwhile, have for the most part kept a relatively safe distance from all three of those forces in our world. Even though I seem to share little common ground with the Republican nominee to be our next Senator from Delaware, here's a crafty playlist for a Jersey girl with big dreams, at least some of them not involving "Witchcraft" or "That Old Black Magic."

SEASON OF THE WITCH - Donovan
WITCHCRAFT - Frank Sinatra
ELECTED - Alice Cooper
LIKE A VIRGIN - Madonna
BUSTED - Ray Charles
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES - The Clash
JERSEY GIRL - Tom Waits
ONLY GIRL (IN THE WORLD) - Rihanna
HOLLY HOLY - Neil Diamond
WHOLY HOLY - John Legend & The Roots
HOLY - My Morning Jacket
POLITICIAN - Cream
KEEPER OF THE CASTLE - The Four Tops
THAT OLD BLACK MAGIC - Louis Prima & Keely Smith
SPEAK OF THE DEVIL - Chris Isaak
MAGIC - B.o.B. featuring Rivers Cuomo
PENNYROYAL TEA - Nirvana
HOWEVER MUCH I BOOZE - The Who
NO DEPRESSION IN HEAVEN - The Carter Family
BROKE DOWN AND BUSTED - Todd Rundgren
VIRGIN - Majek Fashek
CALLING SARAH - Jellyfish
CHRISTINE SIXTEEN - Kiss
I TOUCH MYSELF - The Divinyls
PRAYING HANDS - Devo
OUT OF WORK - Gary U.S. Bonds
TEENAGE DREAM - Katy Perry
POOR HOUSE - Traveling Wilburys
SHE BOP - Cyndi Lauper
CHRISTINE - Luscious Jackson
WITCHY WOMAN - The Eagles

Please add your own songs to my unholy mix tape for Christine O'Donnell -- or even some tunes for Chris Coons, too. Thanks.

Oh Shoot! Can't believe I wasn't around for this one. Looks like it's been covered by everyone.

Witchcraft is not Black Majic, and does not involve the devil-a Christian creation

After seeing this week's clip on Real Time and Jason Linkin's post about her wanting to ban sex in general, the following seemed appropriate as her theme song at rallies and such:

You May Be Right- Billy Joel
Citizen54
Conservatism is a con job!

"Holly Holy." Excellent.

A few Devo songs come to mind:

"Uncontrollable Urge"
"Be Stiff"
"Girl U Want"
"Jerkin' Back and Forth"
"One Dumb Thing"
"Stuck in a Loop"
"Head Like a Hole"

The inclusion of "I Touch Myself" makes me cackle. Given that she once said she'd prevent everyone in the US from having sex, I also suggest "I Want Your Sex" by George Michael.

Already a ton of good Witchcraft songs on there, but I'd toss in:
Voodoo Lady - Ween

Just like the white dudes who shouted family values and abstinence while playing the field, there must be something she is hiding. She's gotta be a hypocrite. When will that foot fall? When are the dudes she messed around with going to spill the beans?

I may be repeating something here:

Black Magic Woman/Gypsy Queen -Santana
Spellbound-Siouixsie and the Banshees

I'm sure there's more...

Gawd,I'm gonna get flamed for this, but here it goes: Christine O'Donnell is actually kind of cute,IMO. Too bad the gray matter is so jumbled. Maybe,if I introduced her to a friend named Jose Cuervo, she might discover that sex is,and can be,well,...FUN. She ought to try it sometime. The sex, that is. Maybe the Cuervo...

Love your list

I confess to being a Bay City Roller fame since I saw them on "Howard Cossell" when I was in middle school.

This is pure Hocus Pocus. We all know a virgin lit the black flame candle and brought the Sanderson Sisters back to life. In this sequel we have O'Donnell, Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman haunting merry old Salem this Halloween. If you listen to the siren song they are singing they will put a spell on you. where is Binx the black Cat when we need him?

Even better - Camarillo Brillo (again, Zappa and the Mothers)

She ruled the Toads
of the Short Forest
And every newt in Idaho
And every cricket who had chorused
By the bush in Buffalo

She said she was
A Magic Mama
And she could throw a mean Tarot
And carried on without a comma
That she was someone I should know

She had a snake for a pet
And an amulet
And she was breeding a dwarf
But she wasn't done yet
She had gray-green skin
A doll with a pin
I told her she was awright
But I couldn't come in
