Watching former Republican Speaker of the House Tom DeLay disgrace himself and the United States Congress over the years, I distinctly remember thinking, "Sure, this dirt bag is ethically challenged, but can he dance?"
Here then are some songs for Tom DeLay to play as he trips over his two right feet now that he's going to be a contestant on Dancing With The Stars. After all, won't it be great to finally see Tom back together with such distinguished colleagues like Kelly Osbourne and Aaron Carter?

So what songs would you add for this Happy Hoofer? Remember, as George Michael taught us, "Guilty feet have no rhythm."
Hammer, don't hurt 'em!

Has anyone suggested "Here Comes The Hammer" by MC Hammer? Another "Hammer" who could use some career rehabilitation.
ABC is known for its right wing slant. Delay belongs in a cell block dance crew, not as a hoofer on the idiot box. The more DWTS opts for a cast of crazies, the more it plays out like a lowbrow reality show. Result? They will lose viewers. They've lost one here.
How about Abba's "Dancing Queen" - that would irritate the hell out of Delay.
If it did, we would actually have reason to like him.
Where the White Boys Dance - The Killers
Dancing with the Big Boys - Iggy Pop
Dance Hall Drug - Boys Like Girls
Dancing Shoes - Arctic Monkeys
Party Boy - Alanis Morissette

Thanks
Wait, wait, isn't that guy in jail now? Oh, yeah, he was one who left the scene of the crime just before "the hammer" fell on him.
Occasionally I've enjoyed watching "Dancing With The Stars". Guilty pleasure.
Doubt I'll miss it too much, though.
The big question is: Will DeLay be able to dance with his feet in his mouth while his hands are doling out lobby monies?

That IS the question
Musical choices made with Mr. Delay in mind:
1) 'Money, it's What I Want' Flying Lizards
2) 'Dear God' XTC
3) 'Would I Lie to You' Eurythmics
4) 'Notorious' Duran Duran
5) 'Closer' Nine Inch Nails
6) 'Perfect Day' Lou Reed
7) 'Another Brick in the Wall' as done by Polka Floyd
8) 'Kiss Me, I'm Sh!#faced' Dropkick Murphys
9) 'Hawaiian Lullaby' Don Ho
and *drumroll please* my personal favourite
10) 'You Don't Own Me' as done by Rasputina

"Notorious" is a nice call -- good title and you can dance to it
OR...is he just trying to make people see him as someone they could vote for despite his crooked dealings?

Let's not be cynical about the sleazy politician's motives -- he just wants to be Lord of the Anti-Democratic Dance, I'm sure.
I want to know if he can dance. I mean what about rhythm and coordination? Can the guy dance?
The 40 people who watch can tell us later... umm..who sang "and it's all because your mommy don't dance and your daddy can't rock and roll"?...see...then Tom can blame any loss on his parents..or the democrats who denied him dance lessons when he was a younger...or communists..yeah...communists.

Loggins and Messina had a big hit with that, then Poison I believe.
L&M just started a new tour, so you can hear it live the next few months
How about "Devil Can Dance" by Harris & Brooks

I don't know it, but I will educate myself -- and the title works for me already
I still think the most appropriate choice would be Jailhouse Rock. Even better if justice was served and that became reality. Dance Like A Monkey is also a good choice, since the NY Dolls did a masterful job lampooning creationism. Rev. Bookburn - Radio Volta

Thanks Rev
'Won't Get Fooled Again'- The Who
'Politician'- Cream
'Hang down Your Head, Tom Delay' -Apologies to the Kingston Trio

"Politician" -- nice MelFamy
LOL, this made my afternoon. My additions:
Dance Away--Roxy Music
Safety Dance--Men Without Hats (This would be the biggest Youtube video)
Dancing in the Dark--Springsteen
Rock DJ--Robbie Williams (Just please don't let him strip)
Music--Madonna (although Like a Virgin and Material Girl are both tempting)
Dancing Barefoot-- Patti Smith (or U2 or Siouxsie and the Banshees)
Dirty Old Town --The Pogues
Shamrock and Shenanigans--House of Pain
Get Ur Freak On--Missy Elliot

LOVE "Dancing Barefoot" as a song, but somehow too scary if Tom takes it literally
HuffPost's Pick
I think the perfect song for Mr. DeLay would be the Beatles' "I'm a Loser".

I think the song is too good for him. but maybe in a medley with Beck's "Loser"
