The version of 'NOBODY' from their very 1st album is one of my favorites. You may want to listen to 'REACH IN' from their 3rd album which features 'I'll BE THERE.'

Thank you Mr. Wild for including underrated songs such as "This Place Hotel" (aka Heartbreak Hotel) and Bless His Soul. I have been jamming off his underrated slept on cuts FOR REAL!! Bless His Soul is SUCH A BEAUTIFUL song and sadly I wish someone would have him take a listen to the words of this song to get him to realize 30+ yrs after this song how his life is now and start being happy for himself instead of worrying about pleasing yes people blood suckers and users!!!

Man in the Mirror, the words, is a favorite for me. One of several amazing "outreach to the world" messages Michael Jackson conveyed.

As for my favorite video, the intense passion, gut energy, and emotional visual dynamics Michael displayed with his Earth Song video, blew my mind.

Michael was at his core was "highly sensitive" to a degree of such depth it was painful and confusing for him.
It seems his sensitivity, simultaneously "opened him" to feeling all suffering, whether it be human or the earth, and at the same time "closed him off" as a survival reflex so he could cope with all he felt.

He was also without a doubt, an artistic, musical "genius" and all genius' are complex.

I also have on occasion, considered the possibility that Michael was suffering from a "low level" of Autism tendencies...or he was a "highly functioning" Autistic...and never diagnosed.

I was raised with my Autistic brother, and I recognize in Michael Jackson, certain things in much of his behaviors, that could be attributed to many of the basic symptoms that present themselves in Autism. (Just my personal observation)

I prefer not to remember the tragedies of his life, but instead his lifetime of amazing accomplishments and I am imagining now that Michael is somewhere teaching the Angels how to moon walk.

To exhale09,

I never thought about the autism aspect. That is a possibility of why he was the way he is. Interesting!!

Years ago, I found a tiny, emaciated kitten hiding under a patch of day lilies in my garden. Obviously orphaned, the kitten was half the size of my hand and terrified. As I reached into the day lilies to pick it up, the tiny little thing hissed and swatted ferociously at me. A few days later, Michael Jackson did a television interview where he talked about his skin color, his friendship with Elizabeth Taylor and various other things and I immediately thought of that tiny kitten, hissing and swatting at me. Jackson seemed to me to be a very gentle, timid man, very alone, completely unable to fend for himself and seemed to be hissing and swatting back defensively at a world that terrified him. Every interview I ever saw of him after that only reinforced the feeling that he was a timid, defenseless little kitten who needed someone to protect him.

I’ve never been very good at playing this game – just love to see what everyone else comes up with. So, instead of posting one of my lame attempts, I just thought I’d share my impressions of Michael Jackson, a man that I believe had a very hard time of it in this world. I wish him peace.

Your comment was gentle and very insightful. I think you nailed it. Michael Jackson had talent flowing out of him, but he was a very sad picture of a boy that was never really allowed to be that boy and really never had guidance to help him grow into adulthood. His loss is an untimely tragic event made into a circus by the media. Thank you for your sensible compassionate and clear analysis.

"Who's Lovin You" is the one that caught my attention. As Smokey said, to hear him singing like an old, wise man, with such insight and depth, full range and emotion.......incredible. After that the ones that stand out are "Wanna Be Startin Something" "Don't Stop til You Get Enough" and "Man In The Mirror" -- those songs will always get a positive chill going for me. Also, props to Quincy for being such an influence in guiding and developing the natural talent in Michael that was already there. The two of them made magic.

"Don't blame it on the sunshine. Don't blame it on the moonlight. Don't blame it on the good times. Blame it on the boogie!"

One of my favorites I was playing non-stop last night. RIP Michael.

Not sure if this actually qualifies as a Michael Jackson song... but my "theme" song is from the Wiz...

You can't win... you can't break even and you can't get out of the game.

It's too hard to pick from his other somgs... Man in the Mirror... Out of my Life... Ben... there are just soooooo many good ones.

I was always partial to "Got to be There." If I could sing, it's the love song I'd want to sing to my girl.

One of my favorites was "Bridge Over Troubled Water," by the Jackson Five.

It's hard to think of any song that Michael made that I didn't like.

I FEEL SO BLESSED TO HAVE BEEN ON EARTH THE SAME TIME AS MICHAEL JACKSON

Sometimes for just a little while God lets one of his Angels come to Earth to sing to us and teach us how to love one another. But then, of course, he calls them back to Heaven ever so much too soon.
One such Angel was Michael Jackson.
When I finally get to Heaven, I'm going to demand front row seats to all of his Heavenly Concerts.
I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER, MICHAEL JACKSON
THANKS FOR THE LOVE.
