As a rule, songs about miners haven't generally been as upbeat as the news we are watching now on CNN. So here's a largely uplifting playlist for all the miners in Chile, and all the people who love them. So here's a little Steven Wells for y'all:
They were covered by that "Darkness on the Edge of Town" in a "N.Y. Minute".
I'm sure many were "Close to the Edge" during that "Wasted Time", and couldn't wait to see the "Heart of the Sunrise".
Through many "Lonely Days, Lonely Nights" the "Hungry Heart" left them longing for their "Tough Mama" and the "Horizontal Bop".
Also longing for food, they must have been "Hungry Like the Wolf", so much so that even a "Cold Turkey" sandwich would have given them much "Satisfaction".
Enjoy the day all.
And speaking of the "Horizontal Bop," it appears a handful are now having interesting discussions in a similar vein, but of a slightly different tone, with their wives. One of Ricky Ricardo's signature phrases comes to mind. I wonder if any of them were nervous enough before they were brought up to ask, "Can I "Stay Just A Little Bit Longer?" (Maurice Williams and The Zodiacs)

That song and "Bad Time" and a few others hold up very, very well to me.
