While campaigning for City Comptroller, voters often ask me "what exactly does a Comptroller do?" In these tough economic times, the Comptroller must have a progressive vision to fight the special interests and root out wasteful spending to get the City's economy back on track. That's what I've done on the Council and that's what I'll do as Comptroller.
A Comptroller is often seen as the city's chief accountant -- but given the economic circumstances we face, he must be much more than that. I hope you'll watch the video below for my thoughts on what must be demanded of the next City Comptroller.
