Dean P. Simmer is a priest, a teacher and a dedicated advocate for nonprofits & churches, working to improve and promote opportunities throughout the metro Detroit area. In 2007 he was tapped to develop the technology resources and curriculum at Detroit Cristo Rey High School, the only coed Catholic high school in the city of Detroit.

Dean writes online for Prodigal Magazine and occasionally writes on his personal site as well. For fun, he loves to humiliate himself playing soccer with friends from the Detroit City Futbol League.

He and his opera-singing wife married in 2006 and live in Corktown.
