Deb Shapiro, from London, has trained extensively in various schools of bodywork, Buddhist meditation with Tai Situ Rimpoche, and Jungian psychology, in both the UK and the USA. She has been teaching both body-mind therapy and meditation internationally for the past 30 years.

Her bestselling book, YOUR BODY SPEAKS YOUR MIND, Decoding the Emotional, Psychological and Spiritual Messages that Underlie Illness won the 2007 Visionary Book Award and was a finalist for the 2007 Nautilus Book Award.

Deb and her husband Ed are the creators and writers of the CHILLOUT ALERTS, inspirational text messages for SPRINT cell phones. They are corporate consultants and personal coaches, having worked with CEO's and senior management of major corporations; and they are respected workshop leaders who have been teaching meditation, bodymind awareness, yoga, and personal development programs in the US, Europe, Australia and India.

Together, they are the authors of fifteen books on personal development, meditation and social action, some of which are in over twelve languages; and three meditation CDs. Their books include VOICES FROM THE HEART, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, and THE MEDITATION PACK. They have hosted their own TV series, Chill Out, which was rated the most popular show on Channel Health TV in England.

The Shapiros are currently writing HOW MEDITATION CAN CHANGE THE WORLD, Voices of Remarkable Spiritual Beings, with contributions from such luminaries as:, Byron Katie, Jack Kornfield, Robert Thurman, Michael Beckwith, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Eckhart Tolle, and others. It will be published in Fall 2009 by Sterling Publishers.
