Huntington Beach Mayor Debbie Cook is running for Congress in the 46th Congressional district against Dana Rohrabacher. Cook has served for eight years on the Huntington Beach City Council. She has devoted much of her adult life and her legal career to protecting parks, beaches and environmentally sensitive wetlands in Orange County, California. A member of the board of the Association for the Study of Peak Oil, she considers reducing America's dependence on fossil fuels an environmental and national security imperative.
