Denise Bowyer is a Vice President, and Secretary of the Labor Advisory Board at American Income and National Income Life Insurance Companies ( AIL and NILICO ), the worlds largest provider of supplemental life insurance to union members.

Denise is responsible to message and coordinate the companies’ public policy advocacy agenda for working families.

She has played a critical role in “ outing “ AIL as an outspoken critic of business as usual , making AIL a business voice of reason and partner with progressive groups on issues like The Employee Free Choice and Wall Street Reform.

An American Incomer for 26 years, Denise has combined her passion for economic and social justice issues, her union organizing experience, her credentials as a consistent award winning producer at AIL , into a role that allows her to assist the CEO, Roger Smith in creating a vibrant, activist agency for within the ranks of 4000 associates at AIL/ NILICO.

Denise currently resides in Washington DC with her partner.
