Why don't we stop and ask ourselves-- Why is it about Deep Pockets?
Should it be? Is this democracy?
We need election reform above all else. Spending caps, federal funding, AND equal airtime for all the candidates.
Nothing is perfect, but in Canada, that's the law.

Instead of having five months to decide the nominees the whole process is being crammed into a few weeks. The states then benefit, not the candidates.

Let's not forget what a money maker a presidential election is for a state. Don't imagine all those motels in Iowa are filled year round or the mom and pop diners.

I think state wide primaries should be eliminated entirely, only those who are active in their party should be able to vote on the candidates. Just think. $9 million for what? That would buy a hellavu lot of text books for schools, but now is just going to help buy an election.

Wouldn't be surprised if Gingrich had a say in this too. Quit flushing money down our toilets!

Wow. I keep getting alerts on Wheeler. She must be on a writing marathon. But another interesting piece to consider. Keeping up with the money is like keeping up with the polls. Although whose ever met a poor politician? We're certainly not going to get one in the White House.
