Diane Ehrensaft, Ph.D. is a developmental and clinical psychologist and the author of several books and articles on child development, gender, and parenting, including the recently released Gender Born, Gender Made. For the past 25 years, she has worked with gender-nonconforming children and their families. She is a founding member of BayGap (Bay Area Youth Gender Acceptance Project), a university and community partnership offering health, mental health, educational, legal, and advocacy services to gender-nonconforming children and their families, and is on the board of Gender Spectrum, which provides education and support to families and communities.
