I Love Sarah Palin

What's Your Reaction?

The best thing that ever happened to America is the ascension of Sarah Palin to star status. She is the reigning queen of the political freak show where candidates are invaded, ogled, sliced, diced and spliced by a public hungry for human train wrecks.

Palin, former Republican vice presidential candidate, with her narcissism, loopy religious beliefs and latest book with its attacks on everyone and everything is the best "news" to come along for months. After all, Britney Spears is on meds and under control and the dysfunctional football players and rap stars are in jail or on parole for beating girlfriends or dogs or rival brutes.

Yes, I love Sarah Palin because she will divide the Republican Party and marginalize it for a few elections unless the GOP gets its act together. She already demonstrated that she, with God and Todd on Her side, will vanquish those who trespass against those time-honored, minority views concerning abortion or universal health care.

For instance, she attacked a fellow Republican "progressive" in New York, who was pro-Choice, so effectively that she and like-minded religious fanatics cost the party the election. They ignored the Party's nominee, backed an independent and the Democrat came up the middle. She popularized the "death panels" mythology which concocted that civil servants will sentence old sick people to die ... as if U.S. insurance companies don't do that now by denying coverage or as if Congress doesn't do the same thing by failing to impose universal health care.

For these and other reasons, any right-thinking American has to love this woman. She will lead the fanatical lemmings over the cliff so that the United States can avoid being governed by people who are superstitious, ignorant and intolerant.

So let's wish her every success.

Good article, though 'smote" is the past tense, present and future tenses are "smite" :-B

What is good about her being out there is the fact that it is beginning to show just how disconnected some of the country's citizens are. People are waiting on line for hours just to have her sign a book. I saw one lady say that while she thought she would make a great president, she still rather see her as a talk show host. That is how the Governator got elected....

Hilarious! As funny as the idea of the Nobel Prize Committee nominating Sarah Palin... for anything.

We're all laughing AT you for making a ludicrous comment like that.
She's either a pathological liar, or a moral dyslexic, I'm not sure. But one thing is certain, she is dangerous and harmful to America. The GOP has had several years to implement their policies, and we saw what happened because of that: 9-11, Iraq, Afghanistan, and the wall street collapse. You cannot say any of those problems are the fault of our current President. Furthermore you will not find one person of intelligence and honesty who has praised her the way Obama is lauded. You have no regard for integrity, truth or etiquette.

I get it, but it is truly disturbing that such an unqualified person can gain support through scripted words and fiction, with a trail of broken promises and a tendency to be a serial job quitter.

It's the American public you're talking about; we're pre programmed through media to respond to traits like hers, we buy all sorts of products that do basically the same thing, tout benefits that aren't there and include ingredients that are proven to be unhealthy.

The lines of people waiting for SP to sign their copy of SP's book is so incredibly depressing. SP's VP rallies were also very dark days.

Intellectually I know her run for the presidency could be a very good thing for the Democratic party but emotionally, it will be hard to see wall to wall coverage of SP.

Truth, facts, science, research, serious, deep debate has no relevance to SP and her supporters. I'm embarrassed that all this is being broadcast to the world. They were just starting to forgive us GWBush.

The Democrats chose to demean Hillary by accepting the ignorant rants of the O supporters against her - "she lies" was one of the frequent rants from O voters.

Well - O did split the Democratic Party. His supporters have failed to recognize it and dream of 2012.

No more! Many democrats have become independent. Give me a strong woman who fights back the bullys and I will vote for her. And don't tell me to think about abortion or gay rights or race. They are not my issues. I like what Sarah talks about. She is telling the truth about herself and telling me the truth about her values. She cares about being fiscally responsible and loving this country.
11:47 AM on 11/19/2009
Hahahaha, I'm sorry. You just insinuated Palin and truth. I just couldn't help but laugh.

Fiscally responsible only when it's politically helpful. She's a joke and even she knows it. I'm embarassed as a woman.

The Dems will win in 2012 and even in 2010 - we know the Republicans created the mess we are in .

Fiscally responsible is not a word to associate with Palin. She was mayor of a dinky town and ran up its debt from zeor ($0) to over twenty million ($20,000,000+). While governor, she spent taxpayers money to have a tanning booth installed in the governors offices, and charged the state for personal expenses for herself and her family.

Well let's not wish her *every* success, Diane. Just success enough to divide the Republican Party and make it a laughing stock for years to come.

(And the present tense of 'smote' is 'smite', by the way)

I do not love her, but if she does turn out to be a Pied Piper for our affliction, then there must be a lesson about losing a generation to broken promises from politicians and corporations to be wary of.

Unless the Republicans steal another election and if they did - we'd go from a frighteningly intelligent President Obama to a (merely) frightening Sarah Palin.

I can't quite embrace joy over the continuing farce of Sarah Palin. The neocons - the ones who gave us Bush - are still out there. They're angry, bored, desperate, plotting and they will stop at nothing. Absolutely nothing. A puppet like Palin is exactly the person they've been shopping for and this cheap little fraud is for sale if they'll just let her sit in the Oval Office and smirk.

It scares me. We're not dealing with rational people, ethical or patriots. We're dealing with creeps. And she's their poster gal and it scares me. I can't shake it.

The difference between GWB and SP however, is that Bush was content playing the puppet; Palin feels the puppet should have a vote or a say, so she quickly rebels.

Republicans will have entirely too much power for a long time to come, so I can't see *anything* good about her arrival on the scene.
