If John McCain is too busy saving America to debate Obama tomorrow, why not send Sarah Palin to take him on? After all, he handpicked her and insists that she is qualified enough to assume the Presidency at any time.
This is an obvious move for a Presidential candidate or any President.
Of course, everybody now knows she is 20 months out of running a puny little town in the middle of nowhere's Alaska. Besides, she can't do the debate with Obama either because she's busily learning stuff.
"Bringing up VP" is not done and is a whirlwind affair. She has "speed dated" diplomats at the UN this week, as Maureen Dowd put it; she has spent eight hours or so mastering the levers of power and players in the world's former financial capital New York City and she has visited Ground Zero. Seeing is knowledge, according to Sarah's description of her mastery of Russian geopolitics, so now she's almost up to speed.
Of course, McCain wouldn't dare put his Stepford sidekick up against Obama tomorrow night because she is so woefully inadequate. In fact, his next little trick is to suggest that tomorrow's debate with Obama be rescheduled to replace the Vice Presidential debate next week.
Then he will suggest that the VP debate be canceled altogether because of the crisis and lack of time in order to completely hide Palin from the public and press. Next, will be his attempt to cancel the economic debate with Obama on the basis that markets are nervous and it would be irresponsible to stir up matters which are still fluid.

Suggestion for the McCain camp: Why not SWITCH the Presidential and VP debates? Oh, yeah. I forgot. Palin isn't ready yet. I bet Biden is ready!
If only this hadn't been proposed by a dozen other articles already.
And with it looking like a deal is imminent and the debate going on as scheduled, it's a moot point anyway.

On what?
Yeap. It just won't stop. I think he was right to suspend is campaing. I think he should make it permanent.
