Barack Obama is following Joanna Pineda on Twitter -- Wow! But I haven't heard from him in months. Not even a text-message when he announced Senator Joe Biden would be his running mate. Why won't Obama talk to me anymore?
Is he waiting for me to make the first move? LOL!
BTW, John McCain emailed me on August 15 asking for a little cash, to help him build a superior strategic operation. (How did he get my email?) His good friend Rick Davis wrote to me on August 19, very excited about the "great job" McCain did on the Saddleback Civil Forum. I didn't watch the show. Still, I'm relieved to hear that a candidate gave straight answers on issues like national security, personal faith, energy, and the economy. Davis asked me via email, "Do you suppose this is why Barack refuses to debate John?" It might be. I hadn't thought of it that way until now.
A few days ago McCain asked me for money again. It's annoying, but I must say he sounds excited about the campaign. "Momentum is on my side!" McCain wrote. (His emails sound more robust than he appears on television.)
Here's my big news: John McCain invited me to a convention-watching party! Since it's hard to meet new people these days, I think I'll go. What will my BFF Obama think? Who cares, right? I haven't heard from him in ages. In fact, I didn't receive a single email from him during the month of August. Not one! (I double-checked my in-box, trash-box, and spam-box just now.) Also, I heard through the grapevine that Obama text-messaged a gazillion of his BFFs on Saturday, to share the news about Biden. But I didn't get one, did you? Is it because I'm not on Twitter, and don't use a blackberry?
Don't get me wrong: I'm no techno-doofus. I'm at the "expert" level with lots of tricky software -- Photoshop, QuarkXpress, Illustrator. Soon I'll be proficient in Final Cut Pro. But unless I make the first move, I won't be hearing from Barack Obama anytime soon. It hurts. It's sooo like high school. The worst part? I was starting to like him. (B4N)
