Direct experience of consciousness is indescribable in human terms. Quantum mechanics has the closest thing to an insight we scientifically oriented, western, post-modernists have ever had. It requires substantial cognitive restructuring to apprehend the truth underlying the equations, however, the truth is there for those with the "eyes to see". That being said, what the equations describe is the same timeless, formless reality which has been known to Sages and Great Beings of all times in manifestation.

Wow. I'm no physicist, but that sounds like baloney. I don't see one way that consciousness can't be explained in a purely physical manner. We are a combination of chemicals that work together to make a machine. In the same way my computer needs no quantum process, neither does my consciousness.
When someone like Neil deGrasse Tyson tells me that this might be true, I'll listen.

You're obviously not an electrical engineer either, otherwise you would know that most modern electronics build heavily on quantum effects, so yes, your computer does need quantum processes.

As to your consciousness, I am highly skeptical of the type of "quantum consciousness" that the woo-masters so prevalent here on HP seem to think.
It is a very complex theory that usually only specialists in a field that use it obtain the education needed to understand it. The very poor understanding of it by the general public just makes it a convenient thing to use when you want to make your woo sound sciency.
