HuffPost Workouts: 45-Minute High-Energy Playlist

I'm a DJ/producer/musician, but I've also been an avid runner/cyclist for about 10 years now. It was only fitting that since I listen to music while working out, I make playlists that enhance my workout. If I could do it my way, there would be about 15 different playlists for each specific workout, sport and intensity, but this one incorporates a bunch of different genres. You can actually run to the beat; I like when every time you step down you actually hit on the beat. (It's a lot easier on a treadmill!)

I tested this playlist on a run, and it worked out extremely well. It starts off chill for a 10-minute warm up, then slowly speeds up. There's a short, five-minute chill session to catch your breath, then it gets really intense up until a final climax and then a good eight minutes of cool down grooves. It's a diverse and fun mix that can be good for almost anyone doing any type of solo workout for 45 minutes.
