For nearly 40 years I have been a campaign media consultant working exclusively for Republicans. My first spot was created for Governor Ronald Reagan in 1970 when I founded Spencer-Roberts Advertising for Reagan's two top political gurus, Stu Spencer and Bill Roberts. I was 23 at the time and went on to documentary filmmaking, television news, and ultimately, back to politics, working for "moderate" Republicans for the U.S. Senate, House, governors, mayors, and on one of the several Dole for President campaigns.

I have always taken a low, or no, profile in campaigns, as I learned long ago not to become an issue myself. But as I approach 62, the impact of another Republican in the White House on my 9-year old daughter, my 39-year old son, and 1-year old grandson, drives me ever deeper to the radical center.

I admired and supported the John McCain of 2000, less so the John McCain of 2004. And, now I barely know the man, who he is or what he really stands for, and against.

As my medium is visual and my message, visceral, I have produced this brief video to take you to the www.NoJohn.com website.

John McCain has become like a highly paid prostitute!

He'll be anything you want him to be!

With all due respect, anyone who actually supported McCain in 2000 is probably brain dead and should seek out a mortician immediately.

That McCain is the choice of the neoconned Republican Party "leadership" while they went out of their way to bash Ron Paul, the best of their candidates, is disgusting. As a registered Republican I look forward to McCain's defeat in the general election.

he has sold his soul for power. been happening since recorded history. at least if he wins white house he will no longer be the senator from az. now if we can just get kyle out. vp maybe.

i am blessed to live in a state that has the two worst war mongers in the senate. maybe cousins are allowed to marry cousins in t his state.

at least in az we c an have as many wives as we want and here is the neat part. the state taxpayers support every kid you have. no gov will touch it for fear of losing the morman vote.

40 kids 40 state checks once a month.$$$$$$$$$$$

Hmmm, I wonder what you actually researched researcher. If you are referring to polygamists, then you are talking about the FLDS population clustered along the Utah/Arizona border in two towns called Hilldale and Colorado City. Their population is less than 10,000 nationwide. These are the polygamists.

Those that are more commonly called Mormons (think Salt Lake City) do not practice polygamy and are kicked out of the church if they are found doing so. Also, the Mormon population in AZ is less than 5% (about 200,000 members out of a state population of nearly 6.5 million) of the population. Hmmm, I don't think any Arizona politician worries about losing the Mormon vote seeing that they are such a small block.

I'm sorry, but your post sounds like propoganda and fear mongering to me.

Don,

Not a problem...McCain likely doesn't grasp the full impact of the wave he will fight against, that Hillary is now confused by. The movement that has seen a virtually unknown individual only a few months ago, getting a real chance of becoming President.....

The sense of disconnect is deep and wide.

Very good! I liked your video. I had some respect for John McCaine at one time but no more.

Ditto.

I was totally for McOldCoot getting the republican nomination in 2000 on the basis that if Gore somehow lost Bush would be a disaster as the painfully obvious puppet of Big Oil and Big Business and McOldCoot at least tolerable.

I was wrong on Bush of course, he was actually an unmitigated catastrophe, but who could imagine how bad it could get?
02:43 AM on 03/13/2008
McOldCoot? That's funny. I don't think anyone could have realized just how catastrophic Bush could be. It wasn't fathomable at the time. But he didn't do it by himself. He had the aid of congress and the house. Their all responsible for it.

McCain stands for more Bush--more war--more outsourcing--more trade deficits... John McCain stands for another four years of disastrous policies and politics.
10:00 PM on 03/12/2008
Yeah he has changed quite a bit in those 8 years.

well done - what does McCain stand for anymore? He stands for POLITICS!
01:25 PM on 03/11/2008
Well done. For whatever it's worth, I think the voices in the ad should sound less snarky, and more sort of disappointed. Otherwise, keep up the good work!

Sir, given your dark past, you need to do more to atone than create a website.

my sentiment too.

I have found some addition info on McCain's connection to the Airbus deal

Thanks, Mr. Ringe. It's about time more Republicans did something to put a stop to the horror show at the heart of the current GOP.

Every single person who supported Bombs McCain in 2000 should be calling/writing/FAXing his campaign to remind him of his blatant hypocrisy.
02:59 PM on 03/13/2008
I admit, I fall in that category - I would rather show him how I feel with my vote in November.

When even Republicans can no longer stand "conservatives", this is going to be a heck of a year. The radical right has so effectivly highjacked their whole Party that the very real possibility exists of it becoming completely marginalized.

As for the results this year, it's shaping up to be a sweep of historical proportions.
