In Memory of Anthony Lewis

Anthony Lewis is dead. I ate his columns in the International Herald Tribune. Devoured them. Cherished them. The sensibility from which those words of his flowed filled me with hope. Fueled me with information.

On the death of Yeats W. H. Auden wrote "In Memory of W. B. Yeats." I read it again this morning and thought of Anthony Lewis. You might do the same today.
