Donna & Ed Bassett are the founders of The Information Project, a small non-profit created after 9/11. Our mandate is to collect everything we can in the realm of reliable, open-source materials related to the topic of human extremism/terrorism and make it available to the public. As a direct result, we now host one of the largest open-source databases on extremism in the world, some 85,000-100,000 incidents (historic to present). This database is richly supplemented by a library and related research materials in order to provide much needed context for these incidents. Unfortunately, since the intelligence fiasco that got us into Iraq, most of our time and resources have been committed to members of Congress who needed us to, in effect, review the Bush Administration's outsourced open-source product in order to keep them honest. That being said, we simply haven't had time to generate much of an on-line presence to date, although we are currently in the process of making a significant upgrade. Our Website (soon to be improved) is: www.theinformationproject.org
