Dr. David Hall
Dr. David Hall began his tenure as the fifth president of the University of the Virgin Islands on August 1, 2009. He recently unveiled “Pathways to Greatness,” the University’s new five-year strategic plan. Born in Savannah, Georgia, Dr. Hall holds a doctorate of juridical science and an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School, a juris doctorate and master’s degree in human relations from the University of Oklahoma, and a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University. In 1993, when he was appointed dean of the Northeastern University School of Law, he made history by being the first African-American to hold the position. Dr. Hall is married to Dr. Marilyn Braithwaite-Hall, and is the father of three children: Rahsaan, Sakile and Kiamsha.
