Dr. Guy Ziv is Assistant Professor of International Relations at American University’s School of International Service, where he is affiliated with the U.S. Foreign Policy Program. His current research focuses on foreign policy decision-making, the influence of think tanks on American foreign policy, and the role of political elites in the Arab-Israeli conflict. His works on Israeli nuclear policy, U.S.-Israel relations, and Israel’s strategic partnership with France in the 1950s have appeared in both newspapers and scholarly journals. Dr. Ziv's textbook reader, Readings in U.S. Foreign Policy, Revised First Edition, has recently been released by Kendall Hunt publishing company. Dr. Ziv, who earned his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland in 2008, also has a background in policy, having worked at the U.S. Department of State, on Capitol Hill, and for leading non-profit organizations that promote U.S. engagement in Israeli-Palestinian peacemaking.
