Don't overeat and eat the right things in moderation!

This is, I'm glad to say, completely bogus. How is it that Americans, who arguably eat the "best" breakfast of anyone in the world, are also the most obese, while French and Italians, who simply eat a roll and drink strong coffee are among the slimmest? All the studies that recommend a good breakfast are probably underwritten by breakfast cereal and dairy companies that have a financial interest in the outcome.

I don't need no stinking micro-bio.

Europeans as a whole are more physically active than Americans. The personal car is a luxury most Europeans either just can't afford or don't need. They walk and ride bicycles far more, while Americans drive and sit in front of TVs and computers. THAT'S why Europeans are leaner.

Perhaps you meant to say that they have a spread of meats, cheeses, and fruits for breakfast - with their rolls and coffee. Europeans are more physically active mostly due to the efficient public transportation system. Meals and the social aspect are enjoyed rather than rushed through based on my experience - multiple trips to Europe, I have consistently lost weight during my trips there with little effort before competitions, and now have a brother-in-law from Bulgaria.

what are your recommendations for people working nights?

You left out good quality fats...organic lard, butter, tallow, coconut oil, the healthy fats that will allow you to coast for hours without blood sugar fluctuation or hunger. Refried beans and eggs for example, for breakfast.
