i doubt the japanese were trying to lose weight, or anyone else until recently. people were to concerned with getting ENOUGH food for most of our history.

I can recall this being around a number of years ago. Here is a site that looks at the effects of this supplement. (His cognac==konjac.)

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2657159/ Study about PGX.

It is a fibrous root vegetable according to the video for those of you who could not get it to run. I've never heard of it, but the name as he pronounces it in the video sounds like "cognac". I listened to it 3 times and thats what the word sounded like to me. He says it is sold by nutritionists or nutritionists doctors under the name PGX or polyglycoplex.

The root he is talking about is "konjac". I found a link on another site talking about it briefly.

Is the "secret" rice instead of gluten-rich flour-derived, baked products....? Is it soy sauce? Is it NORI? Is it smoked fish? Is it green tea?

Watching a promotional video to get a simple answer is a bore and tease simultaneously.....

I agree, it's effing annoying to have to watch these videos and try and take notes when so much of it could be summarized and repeated in the text next to the vid. Especially when the vid is slow and skipping. Or when it's the same information he's already stated in another vid, and he's just repeating so he can add up to 30 days.

Great message, just could improve these things.

if it's vimeo there's rarely a point to even trying.

Dr Hyman--Just to tell you, it's really annoying to not be told in text the gist of a video. This video is not loading, for whatever reason, or is loading v-e-r-y slowly. In any event, I can't see it and probably others are having this problem.
