Dr. Michelle R. Callahan is the savvy, “tell it like it is” psychologist and author you’ve seen hosting the syndicated talk show "Wedlock or Deadlock" and as a guest on popular shows like "Oprah," "Dr. Oz," "Rachael Ray," "Tyra" and the "Today Show." Dr. Michelle has provided client services for organizations such as MTV Networks, The New York Times, Vh1 and Nickelodeon. Dr. Michelle also worked as a Vice President at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.

Dr. Michelle is an expert in many topics including: family and romantic relationships, mental health, stress and coping, women’s health and career development. In her book Ms. Typed, readers learn how to be the women and partners they’re meant to be with uplifting stories from other women and a “Ms. Typed Makeover” that leads them step-by-step through the process. Dr. Michelle has conducted extensive research on the effects of violence in relationships on the mental health and coping skills of children, adolescents and adults. She has also researched the risk factors for teenage pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, HIV and AIDS. Her original research has been published in journals such as the American Journal of Public Health, the Journal of Adolescent Research, The Journal of Adolescence, Violence Against Women and The Leadership Journal. She has presented her research at the national conferences of many professional associations including the American Psychological Association, The Society for Research in Child Development, The Society for Research in Adolescence and the National Council on Family Relations. As an instructor at the University of Michigan, Dr. Michelle taught Introductory and Developmental Psychology courses.

Dr. Michelle received her Ph.D and M.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan and her B.A. in Sociology from Boston College. She was a National Institute of Mental Health Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Yale University.
