In Defensity of Sarah Palin

What's Your Reaction:

Former Vice Presidentiary candidate Sarah Palin recently twat about her desire to see Muslims "refudiate" the actions of their violentistic brothren. When challengers predeigned to question her verbial usage, she proclared herself an inventress of words, colining herself with no less auspecial a wordsmith than Shakespeare. She also encited George W. Bush's "misunderestimate" as a speculant examplar of the reclectorance of the English Language.

This is all, of course, in perfect cocordance with Republican trendition, if not outforth policy. Admittery of any mistake, no matter how trivetal can not be expoused lest weakness be percepted. This prejunction of confluencies does not enrupt, of course from any real comprestanding of psochoactric sciences, but rather from the villianification of intellectuism, the disenvaluing of educationative endeavings and, of course, the enchantalizing of ignoracy that has provasivily influcted our society; a strict encountability to dictionarial vocabulism enotes a tendery to factive adherence and pompish philosophorism. How would that put a person in good steading with those who decry out for common sense governencing?

I think it is time we all stop unliking Ms. Palin for her lack of acumenity and her enthuseistic abracing of folksiness that presigns as stupidity. She is, after all, only doing what her party asks of her, only being what her supporters want her to be.

Frankly, I have no dog in this fight. I'm just doing my part to forwardize bipartisal civilism.

Bravado, Sir Brody. Your uproarial take, on the nonsensious blabbings of the forlorn Gubernator of the 51st state (the honorous state of Unaware...it's below Delaware) had me rofling like something that I can't think of that rofl's a great deal. On another note...

Played any poker lately? I'm itching for a live game...

Fernela, my little Marklet, thanks for the kind words about the piece.

Mostly when I play these days it's on line. I occasionally go to the bike for one of their regular tourneys. Set up a game and I'm IN!

OMG, what does anyone care what she thinks about the ground zero mosque plan? Why is her opinion even considered relevant? OMG---just saw the headline above "Bloomberg and Palin agree to disagree about the mosque." Does she live in NY? Is she the governor of NY? Who gives a flying toad what that woman thinks?

She is miracolossally multiple tonguerous, she knows Wasilla Glossolalia:
"Glossolalia or speaking in tongues is the fluid vocalizing (or, less commonly, the writing) of speech-like syllables, often as part of religious practice. Though some consider these utterances to be meaningless, those that use them consider them to be part of a holy language."

It's kind of like what her speeches would sound like once she's president, like the one in "Idiocracy." At her press conferences, she'll come on stage firing her shotgun in the air and swinging a dead goose, wearing a cheerleader's outfit, gently scooting her grandbabies across the floor with her cowboy boot, out of her way, with a big plug of chew in her cheek and she'll spit hard on the floor before she starts yelling the words above.

You say "once she's president," as though that's a foregone conclusion. I find this more than a little bit terrifying.

As the media currently seems to be intimidated by the Palinbots and has decided to play softball with Sarah Palin, it can very well happen. "Saint Sarah" won't go away, and she will run for President. We can all just pray that the media will then start to look at the "real Sarah" again.

On the plus side, IF she becomes Pres, she won't serve more than two years before getting bored and quitting.

Ah, c'mon libs. The English language is like the Constitution. It's living and breathing, ever changing with the modern times. Give her a break - she's a progressive wordsmith. You should champion her desire to expand the language, to "reform" it from it's oft confusing idiosyncrasies. That's what reform is all about.

Actually, I agree that the English language is living and breathing like the Constitution. The primary thing I mock in my piece is her unwillingness to acknowledge an error. She was NOT, in fact, deliberately inventing a word. She got a word wrong and then refused to simply admit the error. True reform is not about blindly following a mistaken turn in the road, it is about choosing which turns to take.

It is funny, I don't take her too seriously. And I, too, agree that she wasn't inventing a word. We all know what she was trying to say. But then again, Obama was the one who called a corpsman a corpse-man. I missed your story about that one. Can I find it in the HP archives?
