Edward P. Kohn was named a “Top Young Historian” by History News Network in 2007. The recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship, he received his B.A. from Harvard University, his M.A. from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand, and his Ph.D. from McGill University. An Assistant Professor of American History and Chair of the American Culture and Literature Department at Bilkent University, his previous works include This Kindred People. Originally from Chicago, he currently lives in Ankara, Turkey.
