Eli Williamson is the Co-Founder and President of Leave No Veteran Behind. Williamson, a native of Chicago, Illinois, received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Linguistics from Luther College in Decorah, IA. It was during his time in college he joined the US Army Reserves and was assigned to the 389th Engineering Battalion.

After completing his degree he joined the active duty Army and attended the Special Warfare Training Center at Ft. Bragg North Carolina for the psychological operations (PSYOP) course. After completing the PSYOP course he was assigned to the 4th Psychological Operations Group (Airborne). Mr. Williamson then deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and subsequently Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Eli also graduated from the Defense Language Institute Arabic linguists' course. Williamson also worked as a wild land firefighter in Missoula, MT. Currently Eli is a Fellow at the Mission Continues, a Partner at the Truman National Security Project, and is a candidate in DePaul University’s School of Public Service getting his Masters of Nonprofit Management.
