Elizabeth B. Cermak is a 22 year old student recently transferred to University of California at Santa Cruz from Scripps College in Claremont, CA. She was an intern in Arianna's Los Angeles office in 2007 before moving back up to the Bay Area to pursue her politics major in a more diverse and less elitist environment than she found herself in while attending school in LA. Within her politics major she concentrates on the dynamics of race and capitalism in America today and throughout history, and aspires to be an influential writer/journalist in the political world some day. She is a common figure within school and local activist organizations, from the Barack Obama campaign to the Bus Rider's Union, and, as a undergrad student, is still completely unpaid. Opinionated, passionate, and blunt, she hopes to shock readers enough with her new and young voice that the new perspectives of today's youth are forced to be recognized by all.
