Elizabeth Merrick is the editor of the Random House anthology This Is Not Chick Lit, and author of Girly, a novel.

She also runs a small writing school in New York.

Her essay on feminism and cosmetic surgery appeared in Jane in September, and she has appeared in national and regional media such as Elle, USA Today, and Time Out New York.

She has taught writing at New York University and Cornell, and currently lives in New York where she runs the Grace Reading Series which she founded in 2005.
