Notice anything different about us today? HuffPost High School has officially been renamed HuffPost Teen!

We put a lot of thought into our name, and we decided that this new moniker better highlights our mission: to be the go-to platform for you guys to talk about the issues that matter most to you -- not just academically but also socially and culturally.

Plus, HuffPost Teen just sounds more fun.

HuffPost Teen is written primarily by readers like you -- young people who want to share their passions, their experiences, their stories. Sometimes those stories will make you laugh, other times they'll move you to action.

We've been waiting for the perfect moment to embrace this new name, and we chose today in partnership and solidarity with our friends who are also launching an important and ambitious project: Lady Gaga's new organization focused on youth empowerment, "Born This Way Foundation."

In honor of both events, you will see a series of blogs across various Huffington Post sections written by inspiring teens about the subjects they feel most passionate. To find them, look for stories adorned with colored "Youth Empowerment" arrows. (And, of course, HuffPost Teen will feature them all!)

We'll also be livestreaming the "Born This Way" launch event, featuring Lady Gaga, at 4:00pm, so be sure to check back then. Our very own teen blogger Renee Dushane will be reporting from the front row as our special correspondent. And we'll also be featuring a very special surprise blog post later... but shhh, you didn't hear it from me. ;)

Now, I want to hear from YOU about all the different ways you are kicking butt in your communities, on the interwebs, and across the world. Tell us your story in the comments below, tweet us @HuffPostTeen, visit our Facebook page, or drop us an email.

We know you have loud voices and important opinions -- we can't wait to hear what you have to say.
