Are Your Employees Surviving... or Thriving?

These aren't words one would typically associate with a fast-paced technology and consulting environment. Yet, at Accenture we are taking it very seriously how we, as a company, can help our people achieve greater work and life integration. Last year we invested $787 million -- an average of 45 hours per person -- in training and professional development. But, we knew we could do more to invest in our people's lives outside of Accenture.

It started with a riddle...

Our path began last year when we invited Arianna Huffington to speak at our International Women's Day event. Impressed with her book Thrive and her message of redefining success and well-being, we are proud to offer Arianna's online THRIVE O-course, in collaboration with the Oprah Winfrey Network to 55,000+ employees at Accenture, with plans to broaden our audience after the initial session. It is a gift to our people to help them achieve greater balance, fulfillment and success in all aspects of their lives.

While Accenture's vision is to change the way the world works and lives, we are mindful that we can achieve that only if we improve the way our people work and live. THRIVE is an important step in our journey.
