Stay mired in the division paradigm, all of you. Rep and Dem are just two different arms of the same greedy monster.

You'd be surprised how easily some people are swayed.

It's like all the pundits and news shows are laser focusde on the rules for wall street and bonus' and rightly so, and THE HEALTH CARE BILL, which won't go into effect until 2013!!! this is all they talk about everyday, in lock step!! MEAN WHILE, unemployment is rising, they did mention to day that its aproaching 10%...it has been over 10% in some states and double that in large cities/inner city cites. The house overwhelmingly passed an unemployment extension bill with overwhelming bi-partisen support, no on ehas said "JACK" about it in the contect of the senate not passsing a bill and now is being held up by Jon Kyl of Arizona! Harry Reed is weak and he needs to lose in Navada!! he is such a whimp..meanwhile the "journalist" fail to see this as a major main street /side strret issue, let me see job losses, folks losing benefits , thereby unable to pay bills enconomy tanks more, this is what Obama should be taken to the shed over, he is too damn laid back. And unfocused on main street, he can destroy the auto industry and coddle Wall street.

I DID NOT rate him. I said he hasn't done a good job yet. And he hasn't..........Hey, he's 9 months in. The days of Bush's fault is ending. This guy hasn't stopped unemployment at all. Its continuing. And HE quadrupled the deficit with HIS policies.......As for the Nobel Prize, they themselves said it was more for promise then for accomplishment. They've become a partisan group.......Hey, if I PROMISE I'll find a cure for cancer within 4 years, using there format, shouldn't I get the award for my promise (and not accomplishment)

Wow...the man has not been in office 1 year yet!!!!

While your beloved Bush had 8 freakin' years to destroy the foundation of this country in a way that has brought us to our knees......and now you expect miracles?

Where was the condemnation 8 years ago?! Nobody had a thing to say.....just let the GOP run amuck and now look at us.

Give the man a damn chance.

Unlike YOU I'm a true INDEPENDENT. I have disdain for both major parties. I see them as 'tweedle dumb' and 'tweedle as dumb'.

So here some stats for you:

Jan/07----5.5% unemployment, when Pelosi and democrats took control of congress.
Sept./08---6.8% unemployment
Jan/09----7.6% unemployment, when Obama became president
Sept/09---9.8% unemployment and rising

Agreed.

The current federal spending in out of control. Obama & the Democrats can be blamed with directly doubling the debt. Bush must also take some blame too for his share of increasing federal spending.

It will have severe consequences on the economy, such as the push by some countries to not have economic indicators tied to the US Dollar. Those types of things are hard to explain to the American public, but will become severe issues in the future.

He's only 9 months into his presidency. So its unfair to rate him. However, he has been a failure so far. Rising unemployment, quadrupling of deficit, foreign policy thats somewhat vague and unsure, and a Stimulus Plan that was a pork-infested venture for his friends more then an economy boom.

I would give Mr. Bush a little credit - I'm pretty sure that rising employment has a lot to do with the fact that the US was financially raped while he was in office. Foreign policy has greatly improved (you did hear about the Nobel prize, right?).

I like how you said it was unfair to rate him, and then you... rated him. Good on you. I'm sure you'd do much better, with all your fancy learnin' and such.

AFRICAN-AMERICAN unemployment

Do you have any idea what kind of shape this country would be in if the stimulous package had not been passed? I don't know about you, but my retirement funds had shrunk to half their former value under George Bush. Since Obama took office, they have rebounded significantly. There are many signs that the economy is improving and even though job losses are still rising, they are rising at a slower rate than before. President Obama has accomplished much in his first nine months in office. Did you really expect him to undo 8 years of damage in less than one year? He has a long way to go, but he cannot accomplish it without the cooperation of congress and the support of the American people. Stop attacking him and give him some support and you may see more of the change you want to see.

My 401K became a 286K, also.......But there is a lot to go around, isn't there. BOTH parties, which is why I am TOTALLY independent and don't drink that kool-aid.

PS: Just remember who took control of congress in Jan/07. And AFTER they began to run things, our 401's began taking a dive later.

LOL. That was amazingly great. It's so incredibly sto0p!d to hear the GOP simultaneously accusing Obama of being the worst dictator in human history AND the weakest president ever. While they're hiding under their beds from the evil soshulists, maybe the rest of us can have a genuine debate about what's going to really help this country.
