Texas may be best known for its beef, but perhaps not for long,. Tender pulled pork, spicy slivers of ham, and crispy bits of bacon are all mixed together, topped with provolone cheese, and served on toasted, house-baked bread.

There were a few I wouldn't mind trying but the grilled cheese doughnut one looked a little rough and isn't something I would try. I think doughnuts need to stay seperate, trying to add burgers or any kind of sandwhich fixings to them just seems like a bad idea. #10 is something I think I would want to share with someone but #7, #6, and #5 looked pretty good to me.

wow, that Noble Pig looks amazing... pulled pork is where it's at. the Ebbett's Cuban looks pretty tasty too. can't really say the same about any of the others though.

You can not beat a real kosher corned beef on rye or a real Philly steak & cheese.

Some of the ones listed above do not sound edible.

I didn't see any sandwiches that I would eat. Not very heart-friendly. There are many good choices that could have been included but it seems the areas selected was extremely limited.

It might be delicious, but being a Floridian, I am a Cuban Sandwich purist. You need dill pickles, yellow mustard, and Swiss cheese along with the ham and pork all on authentic Cuban bread. To press or not to press is up the individual. I like them either way.

Los angeles has unbelievable sanwiches it's just that the city is so HUGE that you could live there for a long time and never know where they are..Philly's are also great...don't like the New York sanwiches, they just tend to through everything on it It's always too much garlic or not enough bacon, always to much of this or not enough of that. San frasisco has huge VERY tasty sandwiches.but again you have to know where to go !

Gross! Most of those look disgusting to me.

You're right most of the sandwiches do look gross. If it does not even look good in a picture why on earth would someone eat it?

These look really good. While dumpster diving the other day, I found three that look just like these. They tasted simply marvelous. Burp.

So unfortunate that these choices, though they may be delicious, are so unhealthy. Choosing fried, cheesy, saturated fat sandwiches does us no favor. Especially when there are incredibly delicious sandwiches out there. Try "Parsley" in Denver. Now how about a list with the 10 most delectable and healthy sandwiches in America?

You are right, Boo2You2. (What a wonderful name!) My hope was that the choices would be perhaps fifty/fifty in terms of deliciousness and healthiness, however "lightening up" is always a good choice. Thanks! Ginny
