As you may have gathered by now, we're not exactly Thanksgiving traditionalists here at Endless Simmer. But stuffing is one thing we simply will not go without. (You gotta have something to soak up all those pumpkin martinis, right?) Of course, we're not talkin' bout plain old sausage-spiked bread stuffing. These 10 creative recipes get crazy with the size, shape and flavor of Thanksgiving stuffing.

Stuffing Muffins

We've seen this one quite a bit lately and think it is just cute as all hell. Bake your stuffing in a muffin tin and then serve it in place of rolls. Genius.

The White Castle stuffing is brilliant. This will save all the stoners the trouble of the post-spliff mandatory slider run.

My family always made both--stuffing and dressing. Turkey stuffed, dressing baked on the side, so there was plenty to go around and even some for wonderful leftovers. Give me stuffing, homemade cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and gravy and the rest of you can fight over the turkey.

I have tried other recipes from the glutenfreeeasily.com site and have been pleasantly surprised at how unlikely ingredients like tortilla chips in stuffing come together and produce something really delicious. There's a maple muffin recipe on that site that is out of this world. Weird as this recipe sounds, I'm inclined to try it because of my history with the site. Nice!

What? No kimchi stuffing?!

Once I tried Rachel Rays recipe for the turkey muffin things. I should have just filled the muffin tins with dog food and baked it. They looked and tasted horrible. Smelled like something died in my kitchen. I pride myself on my cooking too. Any family gatherings have always been at my home with me doing all of the cooking. Thankfully I tried it when nobody was around. I'd hate for someone to think I was about to serve that to them.
Down here in Alabama it's best to just keep making the dressing made with corrn bread, butter and a lil more butter on top. Just to make sure thatit browns off good, ya know. It should be creamy on the inside and crispy around the edge of the pan.

It used to be. Then it was realized that it was picking up the bird juices, but not rising to a safe temperature. That scared a lot of people off. My mother stopped stuffing turkeys around 1960 for this reason.

These all look so good, but I'm most interested in the gluten free recipe. Thanks for this - I'm so grateful for my demographic being represented in this list!

Sorry, all I want at Thanksgiving is my mom's stuffing, my dad's smoked turkey, and grandma's chocolate pie.

Tried them - never again - they dry out too much. I like moist stuffing - smothered in gravy as well.
