I love the mole bitters from The Bitter Truth. Best in my opinion of the things noted to add to cocktails.

Egg yolks in an alcoholic beverage are "new?" We might hear an "I think not" from the American colonials who were drinking hot flips (ale mixed with rum, thickened with eggs and sugar and heated by the plunge of a red-hot poker) in the 17th and 18th Centuries.

Whenever we think about putting something new into a drink, we should ask ourselves, "What would Clarence Thomas do?"

Sriracha is one of my favorite things in the world! Sometimes if I'm hungry I'll just cook up some rice and eat it with sriracha on it.

I've been using Sriracha in my Bloody Mary recipe for years. It's a great addition for some different level of spice.

EWWWW! The egg yok drink looks just like the stuff those two chicken farmers downed on
"Napoleon Dynamite"

One of the most nauseating scenes in movie history - (After "Doody" in Caddyshack)

What you see atop the egg yolk (not yok) drink is a swirl of Peychaud's bitters. Also, egg yolks are not a new cocktail ingredient, but a rather old one found in many classic cocktail pre-dating Prohibition, aka the golden era of American mixology.

Dr. Zanzibar - In NY where I live, the best cocktail spots max out at $15 per drink. Only the more ritzy hotels and rooftops, who also happen to make some of the city's worst cocktails, charge in excess of $20 b/c they know they can get away with it. But the purpose of the article was to show you that many of these drink, such as the Jupiter Flip, can be made at home with the most basic set of bar tools, which every man (or woman) should have anyway.

Cheers!

Actually, a properly made Pisco Sour contains only egg white, but it's still delicious. :)

OMG! Did I say "yolk"? - you're right - I meant "white".

They should add dried and crushed dollar bills considering how much these drinks probably cost. The addition of okra probably makes the drink $22...

Garnish with a five dollar bill, serve in chilled gold plated tumbler.

I'm the guy responsible for this Okratini, though I didn't invent the recipe. No idea what one costs in a bar, but I made this one at home for around 75 cents in ingredients. Had I gotten homemade pickled okra from one of my friends I could have gone down to about 60 cents. ;)
