To describe Labour of Love would prove a personal labor in futility. But what I can say is that it is a film richly shot, beautifully written and acted so organically, I simply felt overwhelmed by its message for days after viewing it.
It is a shocking film: Ossama Mohammed and Wiam Simav Bedixan's Silvered Water, Syria Self-Portrait, featuring the footage of the ongoing killing going on in Syria, filmed by the people struck by and in the middle of the violence, on their cell-phones.
It seems Taylor Swift is everywhere these days except Nashville. The guy selling newspapers on the corner in the nation's capital listening to gospel tunes through his ear buds has heard her newest ditty "Shake It Off," even if it was a muffled version in a passing car.
Nashville may be known for its abundance of top quality country music, but many people don't realize that over the past several years, other musicians have made it their home, and they are changing the city for the better.

Over sea bass and chardonnay, she talks about navigating the wild streets of Venice, a treasured daybed and her enviable skills with a fish knife.

My conversation with Gugu and Gina covered a wide range of issues facing women in the entertainment industry. I asked Gina specifically why she wanted to tell this story, which at its core is a love story, and why it seems so difficult to get movies made about two black people falling in love.
Chris Botti: The trumpet doesn't care about the national anthem or anything, it's just going to beat you down every day. So you need to practice it hours and hours and hours a day; otherwise it will take control of you rather quickly.
There have been a few stories about changes being made to the new production of Peter Pan that NBC will broadcast live on December 4, starring Allison Williams. Most notably, songs are being cut and (more notably) added.
Now there is another powerful source of information on the problem of irregular migration. The movie Simshar -- made during 2009-2011 depicts one of the thousands of real life tragedies that occur in the choppy winter Mediterranean Sea.
At this point, it seems pretty pointless to review a new entry in The Hunger Games series.
