A high-priced escort convicted of giving a Google executive a fatal injection of heroin aboard his California yacht is being deported to Canada.
Alix Tichelman, 30, admitted she gave 51-year-old Forrest Hayes a shot of heroin that ended up killing him in 2013 as the two partied on his yacht docked off Santa Cruz. A security camera filmed the father-of-five clutching his chest before he collapsed, and Tichelman failed to get help for him. She was filmed cooly stepping over Hayes’ body with a glass of wine in her hand before pulling down the blinds and walking off the yacht. His captain discovered Hayes’ body the following morning.
Tichelman pleaded guilty to felony involuntary manslaughter, destroying evidence and several drug and prostitution charges. She was sentenced in 2015 to six years in prison, but was released early for good behavior and because the judge counted her total time in police custody.
But the Canadian citizen was taken into custody upon her release from prison by waiting Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, CBS reported Friday.
An immigration judge determined at a hearing Thursday that Tichelmen’s convictions were “grounds for removal” from the U.S., said a statement from ICE, according to CBS News.
Tichelman was due to be deported as soon as officials made final arrangements, according to ICE spokesman James Schwab.
