Getting a good night's rest is no joke. Research suggests how much we sleep is inextricably linked to our overall happiness. When we're sleep deprived, our risk for depression increases and we're more likely to experience higher stress levels

And that's not the only way we suffer: Sleep deprivation has also been linked to weight gain, an increased risk for stroke and an increased risk for diabetes. Talk about a total body effect! It's no wonder we turn into Oscar the Grouch when we're exhausted.
