Anne Hathaway is skilled at many things (singing, acting, reciting telegraphed award show speeches), but when it comes to shade-throwing, she should leave it to the professionals.

On Monday night, the Oscar winner was apparently feeling some type of way about the Kardashian family's unfettered pop cultural influence when she tweeted out a meme comparing Helena Bonham Carter to the famous family.

According to People, Hathaway's post, which she later deleted, read, "In a world of Kardashians… Be a Helena Bonham Carter." A Tim Burton fan account shared a similar meme the same day, which can be seen below.

Hathaway, however, quickly retracted her statement, claiming to have unintentionally thrown shade at the Kardashian-Jenner clan. She then uploaded a new Instagram to make her message clear.

"It never occurred to me I was pitting anyone against each other. Not my style. Peace," she wrote. Um, we're pretty sure that's exactly what she did, right?

Good thing Hathaway removed the post so quickly because, as history tells us, the Kardashians are not the ones to go after on social media. After Kim destroyed her haters for shaming her nude photo, we fear to think of how she'd respond to this Hathahater.
